Description
This water-based disinfectant is intended for the disinfection of instruments and medical devices, and the conservation of instruments and surgical instruments. Contains antioxidant (sodium nitrite).
The use involves keeping the instruments immersed in this ready-to-use solution. The product maintains its effectiveness for a maximum of 24 hours. Recommended in medical practices and clinics, analysis centres, beauty and podiatry centers for disinfection and aseptic conservation of instruments.

Application
– Cleaning and disinfection of surgical instruments (contact time 2′); temporary sterile storage of surgical instruments.
– Also suitable for ultrasound devices.
– For decontamination of surgical instruments, according to the D.M. of 28/09/90 “Protection rules against occupational HIV infection in public and private health and welfare structures” a contact time of 20-30 minutes is recommended.
Microbicidal activity
– Active on gram +, gram -, yeasts, fungi, and viruses (HIV, HBV, HCV). The active ingredient contained in PHARMASTERIL FERRI, for example, eliminates the bactericidal growth of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus, Pseudomonas, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Serratia already after 1 minute.
How it works
– The active ingredient of PHARMASTERIL FERRI reduces the surface tension at the point of absorption, is therefore rapidly absorbed on surfaces with a negative bacterial charge (proteins, bacteria, etc.), has precipitating, complexing, and denaturing effects on proteins, causes enzymatic modifications of the membrane cytoplasm of microorganisms.
