Single-Use Breathalyzer
Product description
Test for determining an individual’s blood alcohol concentration, for prevention and control. The kit consists of a device containing the reagent and a balloon equipped with a valve mouthpiece for collecting the exhaled air sample. The Contralco breathalyzer is individually and hermetically packaged at the production facility.
The alcohol contained in the exhaled air causes a color change in the chemical reagent of the breathalyzer. The result is read by observing the diffusion of the green color in the reagent contained in the device. The breathalyzer allows you to determine whether the person’s blood alcohol level is above or below a predefined value (calibration level of the breathalyzer). The chemical breathalyzer does not provide numeric values of the blood alcohol level.
Instructions for Use
The breathalyzer is activated with a simple motion, and the balloon inflates in 3 seconds effortlessly thanks to the large mouthpiece.
- Remove the test from the balloon’s compartment.
- Press the two ends of the test and slide them up to the dotted lines.
- Inflate the balloon with a single exhalation.
- Fully insert the blue side of the test into the blue tube.
- Completely empty the balloon through the test by pressing slowly. If the green color reaches the central ring of the mouthpiece, do not drive. The use of the balloon ensures there is never any contact between the user’s mouth and the device containing the chemical reagent.
